Incursion 8
After my master had passed away i realised that his last lesson was an “Impermanence” teaching – entering the Bardo. Everything is in flux, intermediate states, “nothing lasts forever” to quote Brian Ferry… Other than the mental continuum of course, [and you can corroborate this with a simple metaphor like a bead of pearls, a moment of consciousness precedes another, thus generating a continuity, a continuum, the mental continuum.
Generally practitioners conceive of the death Bardo as "the" Bardo - Dieing and the death process, but there are really six intermediate states or Bardos. Really fascinating principals! But don't take my feebly minded word for it, here is a link to
Kalu Rinpoche's treatise on the Bardos...
[BTW check Master Yoda's face in Star Wars, eh?]
Anyway Incursion 8 has a fundamental quality that is also a quality of the Bardos, it moves along, kind of like a Karmic Tumbler, but with trippy sounds, heavy kick and precision…

About the cover art of LOTUS BEAT 2
This gallery shows the progression and variation involved in designing something that is authentic and resonates visually with the music presented. The cover really depicts Phaeder traversing the Spiritual Cosmos with the guidance of the Vajradhara Navigator. This is a term used in Vajrayana Buddhism to describe the Guru. The halos or coronas represent certain phenomena appearing when chanting in absorption. The earth of course represents Dzambuling, the human realm or the Southern continent in Buddhist Cosmology – Earth, our blue mother.
The sun illuminating the planet symbolises the cycle of Samsara, but also the hope that even a meagre mind like mine could evolve into a fully enlightened being, benefitting all other sentient beings caught in the cycles of Samsara.
